Polishing a sliver tenor sax?

Oh God dump the toothpaste. Musical instruments are plated and toothpaste will only destroy the plating. Use a silver polish and talk to the people in a music store for the most appropriate way to clean it. I would have thought that this would have been taught in your first few lessons, it was when my son played.
