What advantages would David Beckham have in playing 4 the MLS?

I'm aware that Beckham would not get a really large fan base or even marketing interest in the States as he has in Europe. But will there b a plus in playing for Major League Soccer, as in salaries, contract negotiations, & other perks in playing for a U.S. soccer league? Cuz I've also learned that some European sports leagues r not managed well as in the U.S.
