Which Fender guitar models are made in USA?

Igor, you would think this to be a simple question to answer, but unfortunately it is not! Fender usually promotes their USA-made instruments by including "American" in the name; however, even this is not a foolproof method of identification. When purchasing a Fender guitar that is purportedly USA-manufactured, it is always best to check the serial number against a href="http://www.fender.com/support/usa_instruments.php" rel="nofollow"http://www.fender.com/support/usa_instru…/a . Looking at the current Fender listings, if the MSRP of the guitar in question is less than that of the lowest priced USA-made Stratocaster ($1100, for the "American Special"), the instrument is probably made in Mexico or the Far East; alternatively, Fender Stratocasters with an MSRP over $1300 are generally American-made. Best regards, Dana
